I have a passion for brand-up and it's something that I have been interested in for a while now, I'thousand a girly girl. However, I'one thousand not your average beauty blogger, I've but ever done one other dazzler post on my blog, only information technology'southward something that I would similar to talk about more on my weblog then if you accept whatever suggestions of posts that you would like me to write then please practice let me know as I'd love to hear your suggestions.
Today's post is all about how I apply my brand-up, I'll exist sharing my blind girl beauty tips and tricks. I know that this won't appeal to all of my readers, however I do become a lot of questions asking how I apply my own make-upward, so I thought I would tell y'all exactly how I exercise it.
I'thou very lucky that I have an incredible Mum who basically taught me how to apply my brand-up, I am extremely grateful to her for taking the time to teach me because it'southward non the easiest of tasks.
There is a mutual misconception that blind people can't employ their own make-upwardly but this is definitely not the case. It can be a hard skill to master simply information technology's all about finding methods of application that work for you, keep at information technology and practice, practise, do!
I'm not going to lie, at that place are certain parts of applying my make-up that I find hard only for the most function, I think I manage information technology.
I wanted to write a post on how I utilize my make-up as a blind person with no useful vision and the methods of application that I employ. I'g hoping that this might exist useful to some of you.
I wrote a guest mail for Telescopic on beauty, fashion and sight loss, so if you desire farther tips and so go and check that out.
So, without further ado, let's get into make-upward application tips and tricks.
Face
Primer
I first outset off by applying a primer as this keeps your makeup in place throughout the day.
I Apply a bit on my fingers and rub it in on each section of my face, making sure that I don't miss any out. I unremarkably start off with my cheeks and go from in that location.
Concealer
Oh, how I wish I had clear skin! When I employ concealer, I use my fingers to experience for any blemishes and so I know where to use the concealer. Once I have found whatever blemishes, I put the concealer on the blotch. Information technology can often be hard to tell whether blemishes are covered but in one case you've applied it for a while, you go the hang of it. I then blend it in with my fingers if I need to.
Foundation/powder
Personally, I use powder foundation, it's basically a pulverisation consistency and find that this works well with my skin and I observe information technology easy to apply as a blind person. This does not hateful that I have non tried liquid or moose foundation because I have, I just use this product for every twenty-four hour period make-up.
I apply information technology with a sponge, when doing this, it's of import to know the shape of your face up. I apply information technology to a section at a time, ensuring that I take gone all round my confront and making sure that I haven't missed any out. It tin can often be hard to know how much to apply, so I count the number of strokes that I need to apply onto each department of my confront using the sponge and echo the process several times.
Once I take done this, I blend it in with a brush.
If you're wanting to employ moose or liquid foundation then the play a joke on to applying this is to put a pea sized corporeality on the dorsum of your hand, dip the castor/sponge into it, dot the foundation around your face and blend it in by using short quick strokes. If y'all use moose foundation, then y'all can do this using your fingers.
Blusher
It's important to know where Blusher needs to be applied otherwise it doesn't look right.
I swirl the brush around in the pot a few times then apply it, I count how many strokes I need to practise and do this from memory. For example, I will stroke the brush across each cheek v times, so I know that information technology is evenly practical.
Once I have applied the Blush, I get over the applied expanse with the brush to ensure that it is even.
Eyes
Moving onto eyes, these are probably the most difficult part of makeup awarding for me as a blind person. Equally I have a visual damage and accept sensitive eyes, I have to be careful what I use on them so don't like to apply likewise much product to my eyes.
Eyeshadow
I prefer to employ more than neutral colours of eyeshadow such as browns and creams, just that'due south just my own personal preference.
When applying eyeshadow, information technology's very important to know the different parts of your center to know what needs to be applied where. For example, the pucker is the small gap between the pinnacle of your eyeball and the bottom of the forehead bone, you tin notice this using your fingers or a castor.
I tap the brush a few times in the eyeshadow, tap the excess off on the side of the pot and so bring the brush to my eye making certain that I start from the outer corner, I stroke the castor across the lid using gentle strokes, making certain that I don't go over the crease. I then practice the same and repeat the process for the other eye.
Eyeshadow palettes are very pop, although I have ane, I practise find them quite difficult to use as a blind person every bit information technology ways memorising where all the colours are in the palette which tin can of course be done, just it tin can exist quite fourth dimension consuming.
Eyeliner
I'm going to exist completely honest, I discover eyeliner extremely difficult to apply as a blind person every bit I can't see what I'm doing, and then I can't tell whether I take an even line or not, added to the fact that I take very sensitive eyes so when the eyeliner touches my middle it sometimes makes me blink a lot.
I personally apply an eyeliner pencil as I find it easier to use.
To apply eyeliner every bit a blind person, I think the easiest method is to start from the outer corner of your eye and do small strokes until yous reach the inner corner of your middle, so repeat the process on the other eye.
Eyeliner tin can take a lot of exercise, so information technology might be worth getting a sighted person to give you guidance on this.
Mascara
This can frequently be quite daunting because oh my, it hurts when you get Mascara in your eye!
However, in that location are techniques that yous tin apply to make applying mascara as piece of cake every bit possible if you have a visual impairment.
I find it easier to employ a mascara that has a smaller wand so that I have more command when applying information technology, therefore I use the travel size mascara's.
When I apply mascara, I hold the wand horizontally and slowly bring it up to my heart, I start at the route of my lashes, I then gently glide the castor along my lashes ensuring that they are all covered.
Lips
I start off by applying a lip liner to ensure that my lips are moisturised, and it helps the lipstick stay on much longer.
There are several types of lipsticks, and so it's all most finding which y'all prefer.
Yous can apply lipsticks using gentle strokes along your lips, ensuring that both lips are fully covered. Once you take applied the lipstick, rub your lips together. If you feel that at that place is too much on, then you tin can remove any excess past folding a tissue, clamping your lips around it and this will remove any unwanted lipstick.
Then, at that place you have it, this is how I apply my makeup independently even though I am blind. This is a bones every day look and so if y'all would similar more of a comprehensive guide or any other makeup/beauty tips then please do allow me know, I'd love to hear from you lot.
Do you have whatsoever makeup tips? Experience gratuitous to leave them in the comments, I'd love to know them.
